Becoming Me Internship Life Coaching & Training Program Opportunities:

 

Social Science Majors*

​

Undergraduate Student Interns - Education Group Facilitation & Mentoring

 

Undergraduate students are assigned to our Inventing Me Program and are charged with:

 

• Learning skills used in mentoring services and supportive services associated with youth prevention programs such as Girl Circle and Boys Council

• Education group facilitation

• Providing mentoring services both group and individual

• Attending trainings and in-service sessions

• Obtaining their OCPSA

Population:  Pre-K -  Elementary â€‹â€‹

 

First Year Graduate Student Interns

First year graduate students are assigned to our Choose 2 Be U Program and are charged with:

 

• Learning skills used in life coaching and facilitating life-coaching sessions with high school students.

• Hold individual and/or group sessions designed to empower and assist with goal setting for teens and young adults16-21.

• Assist program participants enrolled in the Choose 2 Be U program with life skills

• Addressing social emotional learning issues

• Attending trainings and in-service sessions

• Obtaining their OCPSA

Population:  Middle/Jr. High &  High School

 

Second Year Graduate Student Interns

Second year graduate students are assigned to our Inspired By Me Program and are charged with:

 

• Learning skills used to life coaching and facilitating life coaching sessions with adults 22 and older, assisting participants in prioritizing life situations, empowering, targeting resources, and identifying personal assets.

• Assisting nonprofit partners with capacity building tasks.

• Learning administrative/supervisory skills.

• Learning & providing quality assurance and improvement functions

• Addressing social emotional learning issues

• Identifying additional resources for participants if needed or required

Population:  Pre-K (Early Childhood Mental Health  & Adults)

From Me 2 U, Inc. currently has three Volunteer opportunities:

 

Youth Programs Coordinator (YPC)

 

The prospective intern will be responsible for organizing and planning the entire summer program.  This individual will supervise the Youth Program Website Design and App Development Instructor and Youth Program Business Trainer under the direction of the Executive Director, coordinate team meetings, review documentation, ensure each member of the team has completed prevention related training, and develop orientation content materials for summer youth program participants.  The YPC is expected to document activities on a daily basis.

 

Requirements:  Strong communication skills, able to work as part of a team; resourceful, organized, personable, able to present materials in an easy to understand manner.  Complete a From Me 2 U, Inc.  Application and BCI.  BCI is the applicant's responsibility, only a local BCI is required if applicant has resided in Ohio for the last 5 consecutive years. Youth Program Website Design and App Development Instructor (WDADI)

 

The WDADI will train high school students in the following content areas:  how to develop/design websites using web templates through WIX and how to develop apps for local business owners. The WDADI is expected to document activities on a daily basis.

 

Requirements:  Strong communication skills, able to work as part of a team; resourceful, organized, personable, able to present materials in an easy to understand manner.  Complete a From Me 2 U, Inc.  Application and BCI.  BCI is the applicant's responsibility, only a local BCI is required if the applicant has resided in Ohio for the last 5 consecutive years. Youth Program Business Trainer (YPBT)

 

The perspective intern will supervise, provide leadership, and training. The YPBT will supervise and train high school students in the following content areas:  Entrepreneurship, Billing & Accounting, Business Ethics, Professionalism Accountability, and Marketing (Print, Social Media, Radio, Television). The YPBT is expected to document services on a daily basis, plan daily activities for the program, and schedule interview sessions with local business owners.

 

Requirements:  Strong communication skills, able to work as part of a team; resourceful, organized, personable, able to present materials in an easy to understand manner.  Complete a From Me 2 U, Inc.  Application and BCI.  BCI is the applicant's responsibility, only a local BCI is required if the applicant has resided in Ohio for the last 5 consecutive years.
