The transition into the middle school years can be challenging for young people. That is why the Working On Me program, part of the LeveLUP initiative, focuses on helping youth develop strong social-emotional and life skills.
The LeveLUP program is a partnership between From Me 2 U, Inc. and B&B Class, LLC, funded through Starting Point’s Out-of-School Time (OST) initiative to provide engaging afterschool learning opportunities for youth in Lakewood.
Working On Me supports youth ages 11–13 through guided activities that help them explore:
Emotional awareness and self-confidence
Healthy relationships and communication
Digital citizenship and responsible online behavior
Decision-making and problem-solving
Participants learn how to navigate the social and emotional challenges of early adolescence while building skills that prepare them for leadership and academic success.
The program creates a safe, supportive environment where youth can share experiences, reflect on their goals, and develop resilience.
To learn more about Working On Me sessions offered through the Lakewood LeveLUP program, families should visit the From Me 2 U, Inc. website for program locations and session schedules.
